What's Happened Since the Last Levy?

Since the last operating levy passed in 2003, the Chagrin Falls Exempted Village School District has been recognized for its outstanding excellence in the following areas:

2003

The Chagrin Falls Middle School received the Governor's Award for Healthy Schools.

2004

The Chagrin Falls High School was named a National Blue Ribbon School .

2004

Gurney Elementary School was named a Hall of Fame School by the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators.

2005

The Chagrin Falls High School was named a State School of Distinction.

2005

The Chagrin Falls Intermediate School was named a Hall of Fame School by the Ohio Association of Elementary School Principals.

2006

The Chagrin Falls High School is #1 in the State of Ohio on the Ohio Graduation Test.

2007

Chagrin Falls High School principal, Robert Hunt, is named State of Ohio Principal of the Year by the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators.

For four consecutive years (2003-2006), the following accomplishments have been achieved:

Chagrin Falls High School has been recognized as one of Newsweek Magazine's Top 100 Schools in the Nation.

The Chagrin Falls School District has met every indicator of success as determined by the State of Ohio.

During the past 4 years, the Chagrin Falls School District has also been rated #1 in Northeastern Ohio in the areas of:

 

7th grade math proficiency test

 

3rd grade proficiency tests

 

Number of foreign languages offered

 

Average ACT scores

 

Percent of students taking Advanced Placement (AP) Tests

 

Graduation rate
